A typical day at Dragonfly will have a natural rhythm that supports the whole child. There will be academic learning with friends in the morning and life experiences in the afternoon with homesteading projects, guest mentors, and outdoor play with friends. Students will be responsible for their learning and have the freedom to direct and design their individual goals with the support of their mentors as they evolve into lifelong learners. 

Our younger elementary group will be aged from 5-8 years old, and our older elementary class will be aged 9-13 years old. The microschool as a whole will have no more than 16 students. Our goal is for each teacher to be working with about 8 students at a time. Our days will include Mondays- Thursdays and will be a 6 hour day. Each day will provide plenty of time to cover traditional learning subjects, have daily projects, and have hands-on learning experiences. Fridays will be for family field trips to local farms, outdoor spaces, hikes, and community-oriented events such as potlucks. The school will also organize two camping trips for our families in the Fall and Spring. Our yearly schedule and breaks will be aligned with the school district's schedule.
